THE SET UP
I went in completely blind, I just knew that I would love this duet. I have read Feathers So Vicious, and this duet did NOT disappoint.
QUICK TAKE
Did I gaupe while reading this duet? Yes. Could I still not even put it down to sleep? Also yes.
THE PULSE
💓 💓 💓 💓 4/5 — HEART RATE: QUESTIONABLE
Tension. Stressing. Screaming on the inside. Kicking my feets giggling.
WHAT WORKED
I mean, the tension through this duet. It was INTENSE. Liv is so good at writing so you don’t want the book to end. The setting was very nice, it was dark and twisted.
WHAT DIDN’T
I would have liked more darker, I mean it is dark – but I wanted that kind of darkness that is in Feathers So Vicious.

FINAL VERDICT
Overall, I enjoyed this duet very much. I don’t know what Liv puts in her book, but I need all of them. I do wish that both of these books would have been longer tho, would not have minded to spend more time in all the chaos. 🙈
I liked that Elara got kind of more and more badass throughtout. She went from a “nobody” to a freaking Queen! 👑 And I personaly LOVE a strong FMC! 😏👏
The ending was HEA, and that was predictable but I didn’t mind that tbh. And I predicted that around chapter 3-4 in the second book. But sometimes it is nice to have a good ending, beecause I am still traumatized by Under Your Scars. 🥲
DO I RECOMMEND
A miljon times YES
This duet is for you who love dark fantasy romance and where the plot is PLOTTING.
I like to keep my reviews short, but who knows, maybe this is to short. 🫣
Would really like to know what you think.
Until next chapter – cozy up with your dark romance inside with a cup of tea and some candy. 😏🖤
